ENJOY THE MOMENT
Whaoooo! Your heart is racing and you feel closer than ever to your partner, no I mean, your FIANCEE!
Perhaps it was a surprise proposal or maybe you planned it. What ever way it happened you are going to marry the love of your life!
You have your "one" and are going to show the world by coming legally married.
You may want to tell everyone immediately
OR you may want to sit on it for a few hours, days or even weeks.
There is no right or wrong.
Talk about and agree upon how you will tell the world and when. Do remember that your family and closest friends may not want to hear it on social media first- a quick phone call to share the news may work better for you.

DO YOU NEED AN ENGAGEMENT RING?
No, you don't have to have a ring.
You don't have to spend a small fortune on a ring if you don't want to. A ring doesn't prove your commitment to get married.
Of course some couples want to spend a small fortune on a ring and that is what is best for them
Discuss this as a couple and do what works for you both financially, morally and ethically. If you opt not to have a ring be prepared for people to ask where the ring is!

SETTING A DATE AND YOUR BUDGET
When are you actually going to get married? You may be wanting to get married immediately or may be looking at 5 years away.
Decide as a couple what you will both say. People will ask and be prepared as sometimes they will give an opinion as to when or how you should marry.
Are you going to have a quick registry style wedding for $90 with two witnesses or spend $50,000 on a huge party with all your friends and family? Be realistic for what you can or want to afford. Discuss this early on so you are both on the same page
