​Imagine saying your vows inside a 1905 chapel, surrounded by lush gardens, timeless architecture, and just your closest loved ones (up to 8 guests). 

This is your chance to elope in a way that feels relaxed, romantic, and utterly unforgettable - without lifting a finger. (Well, maybe just one for the ring!)

I've teamed up with the beautiful Kingsdown Manor to offer a truly special South Canterbury elopement package; perfect for couples who want to skip the fuss and marry in a gorgeous indoor and outdoor setting.

why kingsdown manor?

Originally built 120 years ago, Kingsdown Chapel has a rich history as a local church and has since been transformed into a charming boutique wedding venue.

​In the 1970s, the Tyree family added a grand two-story manor, complete with a three-story turret and a spacious reception hall, bringing extra character and features to the property.

In 2021, the manor was purchased by Greg and Mel Coles, who have continued to enhance the space, creating one of South Canterbury's most unique and beautiful locations to say "I do."
Best part? If the weather doesn't cooperate, no worries - the chapel offers a sheltered, elegant indoor space for your ceremony and photos, rain or shine.

​There's on-site Airbnb accommodation, perfect for turning your elopement into a cozy mini-moon. (subject to availability)

Kingsdown Manor Elopement Package:
  • Celebrant – That's me! I'll create a 10-minute, simple yet personalised ceremony for you 
  • Photographer – One hour of professional photography to capture your "I do" moment + beautiful portraits (longer options available)
  • Venue – One-hour hire of Kingsdown Manor, including use of the chapel and surrounding grounds for your ceremony and photos
  • Package Coordinator – I'll help bring it all together on the day so you can focus on what matters: marrying your person.
*Marriage licence + certificate not included. Final price may vary slightly depending on available photographer.

Extra Details

 Important to note for your 'Kingsdown Manor' Elopement Package

  • Available Monday–Thursday only (excluding public holidays)
  • Ceremony start times: 10:00 am to 3:30 pm​
  • Up to 8 guests allowed (babies under 12 months not included in the count)
  • You'll arrive 10 minutes before your ceremony start time
  • No microphone or rehearsal is included with elopement packages
  • A 50% non-refundable payment and a signed contract secure your date, time and vendors
  • The final balance is due six weeks before the ceremony
  • If you're overseas, payment can be made via WISE (you'll cover any associated fees)
  • ​A longer time is available with the photographer off-site
  • Sneak peek photos within 5 days, full gallery delivered within 45 business days (terms confirmed in your contract). 
  • Marriage licence + certificate is not included - you'll  apply and pay online  via the Department of Internal Affairs ($183.00 NZD)
