Whether you're looking to have an intimate ceremony at a private location with just the two of you or you want your family and friends to be there to celebrate, I can help. ​

I've teamed up with host Angie at Morelea Lakeside, and we can offer you a location with stunning views of the lake and surrounding hills and mountains.

If the weather isn't ideal, you can enjoy the shelter inside in front of large glass doors that offer the same view as the outside ceremony location.

Morelea is a beautiful private home and restaurant with views of Lake Tekapo. It’s a peaceful and intimate space, perfect for small weddings and celebrations.

Inside, there’s room for up to 30 people for a sit-down meal, or up to 50 people for a platter-style event. You can also hire a marquee for extra space and weather protection, which is ideal for groups larger than 25–30 people.

You can hold your wedding ceremony indoors or outdoors, both with stunning views of the lake.

Morelea is a special place for celebrations, not a party venue.

Angie and Stan have welcomed couples from around the world to marry or renew vows at their lovely home and garden.

Morelea is conveniently located on Lakeside Drive, the same road where Tekapo Springs is situated, making it easy to find.

It's close to shops and accommodation, but their unique setup allows you to be on their property and feel like you're in your own piece of paradise, with the lake directly in front of you.

Every season is beautiful at Lake Tekapo.

For an extra cost, Angie can offer a delicious two-course sit-down meal for up to 28/30 people inside. She can cater for all tastes and dietary requirements. 

Would you like something more casual? She can also provide platters to enjoy after your nuptials.

She is well known for her delicious pavlova and meals, which locals, cruise ship passengers, and tour buses enjoy.

Celebrant + simple planner 

I can be your marriage celebrant, simple planner, and co-ordinator to help bring together the wedding of your dreams.  I can offer recommendations of amazing vendors to help create a magical day.  

Early December wedding when the lupins are out at Lake Tekapo

What you need to know:

• Available any day of the week. $200 surcharge for public holidays 
• This includes use of the grounds, bridal suite, and indoor lounge (great for wet weather). Outdoor chairs are provided if needed.
• Includes me as your marriage celebrant and helps with wedding planning and coordinating
• Charged optional extras: food, bar set-up, archway, florals and bouquets, seat covers and sashes
• Morelea Lakeside is a beautifully designed private home and restaurant where Angie caters in her commercial kitchen. No other food (except wedding cake) may be brought in.
• Optional: Nibbles, platters, or two-course meals prepared by host Angie
• Morelea is not a party house. Food must be served if alcohol is consumed. 

I have been lucky enough to be part of 300-plus weddings, working alongside vendors across various fields. With my simple planning, I aim to match you with vendors that I know and trust will best suit your needs and preferences. Please note of course you can select and find your own vendors. Your day, your way.

Your package includes:

• celebrant* ~ with personalised ceremony 
• planning* ~ 45-minute consultation after booking. I offer simple planning and vendor recommendations and connections or for an extra cost I can organise every detail. 
• morelea lakeside  ~ use of bridal suite, some indoor and outdoor spaces. 
• package co-ordinator 

Price includes venue and celebrant. Does not include arch, accommodation or optional extras.
Price does not include a marriage licence or certificate

Important Information

Costings + Contracts

• You will be sent a contract to confirm the venue and me for the date discussed. 
• A non-refundable payment of 50% is required for the venue to confirm your date and ceremony start time with the celebrant. 
• After payment, we will have a 45-minute meeting via Zoom, phone, or in person to discuss your vision and plan your wedding. You can do this through email if you'd like.
• If you live overseas, payment will be made through WISE, and you will be responsible for all associated fees.
• If you live in NZ, payment into my NZ bank account
• All remaining balances are due  two calendar months  before your wedding day

Marriage Licence

• These packages do not include your marriage licence fee of $150 + certificate of $33 = $183 NZD, which you apply for online and pay directly to the Department of Births, Deaths and Marriages

Jade has been an amazing person and celebrant from the first contact till the end. Jade made me and my (at the time fiancé) Leeroy feel at ease. She catered to all needs, cultural and religious aspects and is very respectful of any decisions.

Jade ensured to check in lots along the way as we had booked her almost a year in advance! She also made sure the remind us of the commonly missed things that go into planning a wedding to help ensure the day would go as smoothly as it did.
