If you're planning a small, no-fuss wedding on short notice, consider a Micro Ceremony. It's perfect for couples who want an intimate wedding without the added stress of planning a big event.

Whether you're from overseas or in New Zealand, this low-cost option offers a way to bring a handful of your favourite people with you.

*Micro wedding is  limited to 28 guests MAX, plus the couple

The Process
We'll meet and greet at my home office or via Zoom. During this meeting, we'll get to know each other, and I'll ask you a few questions about yourselves, and you can ask me any questions you may have.

​If you want to proceed with this ceremony style, you will fill in my 'Google Doc Micro Wedding Contract' with the date and time we have discussed. I will issue an invoice, and you will pay a minimum $199.00  to confirm me as your celebrant.

​Then you can decide what you want to wear and who you will invite to your wedding day. Too easy!

The Ceremony Script
Your Micro Ceremony will include these components for your wedding ceremony:
  • Welcome
  • Optional - Remembering those in Spirit
  • Optional - Reading or Prayer
  •  Legal Vows
  • Optional - Personal Vows and Promises You Write Yourself
  • Optional - Ring Exchange
  • Final Thought + Well Wishes
  • Pronouncement & Kiss
  • Signing of the Wedding Document
  • Presentation of the newly Married Couple​!

The fee for a Micro Ceremony is from $333.
​Travel expenses are additional for travel outside Timaru town and listed above

You'll also be responsible for ordering your marriage documents online, which typically includes:
  • Particulars of Marriage + Licence: $150.00
  • Marriage Certificate: $33.00
  • Apostille/Authentication: If you live overseas, you may need this for your country

Extra Charges
  • If you need witnesses within Timaru, I can provide them for $50 per witness.
  • If out of Timaru, exact travel will be calculated when the ceremony address is known.

​Payment
A minimum $150 non-refundable payment is due to confirm your booking. The total balance left owing for the ceremony and travel or extra charge (if any) is due one month before the ceremony.

Please note that we will use WISE for payment if you live overseas. Your bank will charge the associated bank fees on your end.
Bookings
Micro Ceremony bookings can be booked up to four months before your wedding date and can take place any day and time. Note that during Oct- Feb there are limited weekend days available.

In Short
To qualify for a Micro Ceremony, you should:
  • Plan to get married within FOUR months of your enquiry
  • Have a guest list of 28 or fewer people 
  • Understand that the Ceremony Script is not customisable​
  • ​Be prepared to order the Marriage Licence and Certificate

Out of Town and Overseas Couples
If you're from out of town or overseas and need vendors or wedding planning assistance, I'm happy to provide recommendations for you to follow up. 

Micro-Wedding Planning
I can even help plan the entire micro-wedding, including booking a photographer, venue, small cake or cupcakes, flowers, videographer and platter. 

Currently this additional service IS AVAILABLE.

Zac and I couldn’t have been happier having Jade as our celebrant! She was amazing with communication, helped with the finishing touches on vows and was just overall the extra support we needed in planning our micro wedding!
