It's not always easy to understand, but each person who has crossed your path, leaving behind lessons or scars, has shaped the remarkable individual you are today. Sometimes we need support to let go. I can help. Why Forgive? I Can Create A Ceremony To Forgive Yourself and Others. As well as a celebrant, I am also a Life Coach and Mentor. I help people transition through change, loss and let go of the past. Lockdown has kept me busy online with clients worldwide - and I am doing alot of forgiveness work with clients. I now offer a 'Forgiveness Ceremony' for those ready to let go.
Forgive Your Past For Your Future's Self "Forgive your Mum and Dad. Maybe you will never fully understand, but they taught you strength and independence every time they acted in a way that let you down. Forgive your ex -partner, even if their manipulative ways inflicted deep wounds and hurt a lot. They taught you to set limits, love yourself above all others, and be true to yourself. They taught you to move away from places and people where you are no longer loved or appreciated. Forgive your children for their youthful disrespect, lies, and abandonment. They were teaching you to let go of your attachments and to understand that you cannot control everything; they were teaching you to let go. Forgive that envious co-worker who spoke badly about you and made your work life challenging. They saw in you something that could never become, and they taught you that, even in your worst moment, your light shines so much that it hurts the eyes of others. Forgive yourself. Forgive yourself for your body, shape, size, or health. Forgive yourself for not always being the perfect child, partner, or parent. Most of all, Forgive yourself for every time you let yourself be overcome by fear, and every mistake you've made along the way. Your story and life are perfect, and even if it doesn't seem like it, everything happens to teach you something to grow. Release your past, forgive, and step confidently into your future, for your journey has made you who you are—a truly exceptional being. Without these experiences, you wouldn't be the wonderful person you are today." ~ © Jade Whaley - April 2020 Begin the Journey of Self-Forgiveness You've witnessed the transformative power of forgiving others, but many find it challenging to extend the same compassion to themselves. Self-forgiveness is essential for personal growth, whether grappling with guilt, self-blame, or negative self-perception. Let's explore how to initiate this healing process. If you're struggling to forgive yourself for hurting others, acting manipulatively, or harbouring self-destructive thoughts, remember forgiveness is a choice you make for yourself, profoundly impacting your well-being. When you choose forgiveness, you shed the weight you've been carrying. Imagine constantly carrying 20 kilos of baggage on your back and shoulders. Day in and day out, everywhere you go. To the shops, work at home, even when you are socialising or relaxing. It's an arduous, painful journey. Forgiving is the act of relinquishing all this baggage and moving forward unburdened. Most importantly, self-forgiveness isn't about worthiness, yours or anyone else's. It's not about your inherent value. It's about the decision to unburden yourself from the weight of past actions and negative self-perceptions. Self-forgiveness is the pathway to lightening your load, walking through life unencumbered, and embracing your inherent worthiness. The choice is yours: continue carrying your baggage or set it down and embark on a journey of self-compassion and liberation. This spoke to me today because my heart hurts as my son has been so cruel to me and his sister the last 11 years. It doesnt matter what we say or do it is never good enough for him and his wife. I cant even see my grandson even though he is 4 years old.We are not wealthy and he is caught up flashy cars and houses and told me it is my fault I am on disability. I did not do anything to bring on my MSand i only try and be kind but I cry everyday. I dont want to carry this burden of his expectaions and distaste anymore.I am ready to forgive him and me. My daughter and I need to heal and not read his nasty messages.
