No Funerals Allowed In NZ: Lockdown

Because of the COVID-19 lockdown, we cannot have a funeral, gathering or tangi. During this time,  I can offer a memorial ceremony via Zoom, (with no charge for children's ceremonies).  Let's honour your loved one.

While We Can't Farewell Our Loved Ones In Person, We Can Still Celebrate Their Life. Here Is How We Can Honour Them.

It is difficult to deal with the grief of your loved one anyhow, but not being able to farewell in the way you wish, with all the people you want to, can be distressing and heartbreaking. 

If you would like some support, I am here to offer guidance, help or officiating via Skype, phone, Zoom or FaceTime for those who want to pay tribute and celebrate their loved one.
I am a listening ear and can guide you if you are in this challenging position. 

During Level 4 lockdown, 

• The following services are not operating: 
• Chapel services 
• Graveside services 
• Cremation charge viewings 
• Collection of ashes – there is no public collection of ashes.

Remember, in the not-too-distant future, we will lift restrictions and gatherings will be possible later. 

It is essential to connect with people when you are grieving.


Connecting on the internet or by phone 
Technology nowadays means you can connect through the internet. FaceTime, Skype and Zoom are just a few good options.

Zoom allows a large group of people to see each other easily for up to 40 minutes with a free account. Each household can connect and see each other for support.
