Outdoor weddings, set against the breathtaking backdrop of South Canterbury or Mckenzie District, are pure magic. However, even in these idyllic settings, Mother Nature can throw curveballs. A "Plan B" is a must!
Planning an Outdoor Wedding? Don't Forget Your Weather Backup Plan!
A reliable 'Plan B' becomes your wedding lifesaver.
Your day is here. you are standing there with your honey
... about to say I do, vows grasped in your hand, you heart is pounding
... then it happens.
The growl of thunder
A gust of wind blows over the floral decorations,
... a wet spot of rain hits your nose
... then another, and another
... your wedding vows are whisked out of your hand and dance off into the wind
.. then sheets of rains pummel everything in sight
This is very unlikely on my watch (as your celebrant, I always have weather apps open to know what is expected). Still, mother nature has a way of doing things - especially if you are in the backcountry or perched on the side of a mountain.
Wedding planning already has its fair share of stressors, so why not bid farewell to one of them by having a well-thought-out contingency plan for your ceremony location in case the weather plays spoilsport?
It's a important move that can rescue your special day from the whims of the elements.
Picture your dreamy beach or garden ceremony dampened by unexpected raindrops.
And remember the practical must-haves like umbrellas, gumboots, or canoes!
Let's make sure your outdoor wedding remains a fairy tale, whether the sun shines brightly or the rain comes dancing down!
